National Folk Alliance in Memphis, TN

Once again, National Folk Alliance in Memphis proved to be an exciting, surprising and inspiring time. John and I conducted six interviews in front of a live audience. It was a great experience to feel the energy of listeners right there in the room. We look forward to sharing these interviews with you. Artists interviewed in the Trolley Stop Stage included Kathy Mattea, John Vezner, John Flynn, Ali Eskandarian, Tommy Wommack and Dave Crossland. Other shows to look forward to include: David LaMotte, John McCutcheon. Ana Egge. Marc Black, Chad & Jeremy, Ian Tyson, Corinne West, Si Kahn, Sid Selvidge, Natalia Zukerman, and Otis Taylor. It’s a privilege to talk with folks about creativity, and the real surprise of the event was Attorney General Janet Reno. Ms. Reno was there with her nephew Ed Peterson, as the producer of a collection of music depicting the history of the United States called Song of America. Her energy and passion for the project is inspiring.

Each interview brings a unique perspective the phenomenon we call creativity. We look forward to sharing them with you on your favorite public radio station and hearing your responses on the new website.
